( 12/8/97 ) Tuesday...................Clear Last day in Taman Negara. Took a wonderful boat ride to Lata Berkoh ( about 1 hour) on Sungai Tahan. The view of this river is so beautiful. There are huge Neram trees forming an archway over the water. Saw a lot of birds too, kingfishers with metallic blue wings especially. Met Enrique again and we had a nice picnic lunch at this spectacular cascade. After that, before going back to Park Headquarters, stopped at Lubuk Simpon for a swim. I really enjoy myself so much. Scenes and scenes of beautiful views of forest and rivers, accompany by the fantastic sound of the forest orchestra... and I never forget the dramatic scene in the caves...and the friendly villagers...and my new friends.... I'll be back, Taman Negara!
