Left Nusa Camp, shifted to the Park Headquarters, Kuala Tahan. Stayed
at the lodge provided by the Wildlife and National Parks
Department(PERHILITAN).
This area is much more developed than the Nusa Camp area. What is
interesting is to have meals on the floating restaurant across the
Tembeling River. Food is good, reasonable price, too. There is also an
exclusive restaurant at the Taman Negara Resort, but guess it's better to
save some cash.
Another new experience in my life time, that's to walk on the longest
canopy walkway in the world! It's built by the PERHILITAN staffs. We
Malaysians created another wonder in the world!
It's so wonderful to walk on the bridge and try to identify species of
trees along the canopy. The rain forest is the richest and most diverse
ecosystem on Earth! I saw a squirrel! It's brown in colour and it looks so
happy jumping from one tree to another. Suddenly have a feeling that I
was like another species in the forest now, am I??
I repeated the walk three times! That costs me RM15.00 altogether!
But, it's worth it! I never enjoyed myself more.
After that, I took another 45 minutes to walk up to the Teresik Hill,
since the trail is just right in front of the canopy walkway's exit.
