Lubuk Simpon, a 10 - 20 minutes walk from the Park HQ has a good natural
bathing pool. Another popular swimming place along Sungai Tahan is Lubuk Lesong,
1 1/2 - 2 hours walk, and below the cascade at Lata Berkoh.However, the safest bathing place for a non-swimmer is at Lubuk Simpon above the rapids, on the upstream side of the promontory (or island where when the water is high the slope into deeper water is very gentle). |
