![]() The Hawk Moth, Elibia dolichus, is a very attractive moth. It has a distinctive cream-coloured stripe, extending from the thorax down its back, to the tip of the abdomen. The base of its hind wings and the sides of the abdomen are grey-blue. The underside is white in colour and has two little brown markings in the centre. Its larva exhibits a round, eye-like marking on the fourth segment. The pupa/chrysalis has a chestnut-brown back with a grey abdomen.It also has an eye-like marking on the sides of the abdominal segments and the three thoracic segments. Its head has a curved proboscis sheath.And, its abdomen has pink markings. |
