Entitled A Virtual Tour of Taman Negara, the CD-ROM that features over 100 nodes of QuickTime virtual reality, thousands of photographs, hours of QuickTime movies, a live-link to the World Wide Web, and information covering the rainforest ecosystem, Taman Negara's bio-diversity, a traveller's guide, as well as tourist accommodations and activities. According to MacroWorld president and chief executive officer, P.H. Chin the title will allow users to access MacroWorld's website and place bookings, online for a visit to Taman Negara. "The CD-ROM title is regarded as a pioneer initiative
in showcasing Malaysia's natural heritage," said Chin. It is also
an effort to promote the green conservation movement in Malaysia."

"Recently, we were granted MSC status by Multimedia Development Corporation, and will be actively participating in the seven Flagship Applications of the Multimedia Super Corridor," Chin added. The company's main focus in the MSC will be the R&D Cluster, Borderless Marketing, World Wide Manufacturing Hub and Smart Schools initiatives. MacroWorld's latest appointment is by Sukom Ninety Eight Bhd, as the official CD-ROM supplier for the coming KL '98 - XVI Commonwealth Games. Among the features of the KL '98 CD-ROM is the highlights of the Commonwealth Games history from 1930 to 1994. This includes the feats of 88 of the most popular athletes, plus more than 45 minutes of video of these stars in action.
